PREMISE
let's face it, a lot of middle-aged men in the gay scene never receive much attention because they are in between the old and the new. the younger men who are new to the scene get doted on the most, leaving the veterans in the dust. with that being said, the basics of this group psl is to focus on a small circle of gay men in their late twenties to early thirties based in west hollywood, california. since it is a tight-knit group of players, the characters must be connected in some form whether it be neighbors, exes, the boyfriend's ex lover, the bootycall, a friend since diapers, or even a gay cousin. this will help promote activity and lessen the risk of anyone feeling left out, getting skipped over, or not getting any interaction. like lines, we're also looking for different characters to break the molds of stereotypes. it's encouraged to be as creative as you want without risking much realism! we understand some people live off their parents or wait for inheritances, but don't forget the work force who have important responsibilities. right now, we're only accepting "older" gay men into the group until it's become established. however, since these characters will obviously talk to people outside of their age bracket, we do find it perfectly acceptable for members to branch their characters out with external lines. in time, these can hopefully be part of this group psl.
as far as rules go, things are pretty simple. don't cross that golden line because that alone will avoid unwanted issues. don't control other characters without their permission. any serious action (accidents, suicide attempts, adoptions) will be up to you. as the writer, it is your responsibility to play this out as mature and responsible as you would in real life or mods will interject the line. if we see an abundance or abuse of certain lines, we will put an end to it. all holds last for 48 hours. the only way to challenge is if the hold is inactive. to join, a contact post is a must. it's very much encouraged to have a list of facts, a bio, or something for people to understand your characters, but not required. this is an aim and thread based game so please be aware of others who may prefer one over the other. hiatuses, extensions on updates, and other various concerns can be dropped at the contact post below.
